Scott’s service to OCCIF is primarily focused on helping OCCIF navigate the various legal complexities that the organization faces.
Spending most of his life on the West Coast, Scott received a BA in both mathematics and Russian from Willamette University, an MA in mathematics from Portland State University, and a law degree from the University of Oregon. Part of Scott’s studies also took him to the Crimea, where he became fluent in Russian.
Currently, Scott resides in Seattle where he is an attorney with the international law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Scott is a member of the firm’s intellectual property department and his practice focuses on helping companies achieve value from their innovations and protect their brands. Scott serves clients ranging from small non-profits to Fortune 100 tech companies. In addition to having served as the Secretary to OCCIF, Scott also previously served on the Parish Council for St. Spiridon’s Orthodox Cathedral in Seattle, Washington.
